I finally took delivery of my Rift Amps PB16, in (requested) blonde. Thanks Chris. Man, I love the look of those old blonde Fenders (eg Twin amp).

I'm impressed by the WGS G12C/S speaker, comparing say to the similar new Jensen speakers. Telecaster sounds great through this. Lovely on the bridge, no harshness. Deep Fender type bass on the neck pick up. Basically, one of those amps that sounds good when you plug in. You just need to adjust how much more 'good' you want and where, to suit your rock 'n' roll needs. Reverb, tremolo and an amber jewel light! The tremolo could throb harder (preference), so I whack it right up, to get close to what I like. But, there is a time and a place for subtle tremolo too. Oh and it has one of those old style Fender foot switches to kick in the rev/trem. I've always digged those.

Of course you can play anything from jazz to classic rock on this, but it really suits Americana/roots, your rock 'n' roll, rockabilly, garage too.
