source for marshall / vox gold piping?

Im restoring a vintage Marshall cab at the moment, and I dont want to buy this crap from solsound:

he has even started calling it green, thats how bad it is. there must be another better quality source for this stuff? what do vox use thesedays? im also looking for vintage looking white piping that isnt toothpaste white and glossy. any links appreciated.

I've got some pieces of original gold string from a couple of old Marshall PA cabs. I think one is about 2m long and the others are about 90cm. How much do you need?
