I thought only women got these when they were going through  the men-on-pause.
I've just sunk a nice cold tube of Asashi...
I'm 'only' 57...

I'd ask doctor Internet, but last time I did this concerning an in-growing toenail, he said I probably had six months to live.

Any of you other old timers getting these?

No, not myself, but a friend did. He died six months later.

Yes, but the truck that hit him was going at a fair old pace.

I get them real bad but have recently been diagnosed with a prolactinoma, which is benign swelling of the pituitary
      gland.

I donated my ovaries to a tramp. He gave me a can of SKOL.

By hot flush do you mean suddenly feeling very hot and a bit faint, sweating profusely?  I used to get that every now and then, until I found out I was diabetic a few years ago.

Which isn't to suggest you're diabetic.  I had the same issue decades ago, long before the diabetes, even when I was a kid.  In those days it would usually be in very hot weather and I'd quickly have something to eat or drink - which may have made things worse if it was actually blood-sugar related.

The only time it's happened to me recently was a couple of weeks ago - again, very hot day, I had lunch with my dad and my brother then got massively sweaty when I went to work in the afternoon, despite the air-con in our office.  I blamed it on the heat on the Tube, but it was probably down to the ill-advised cider I had with lunch, something I haven't drunk for the last five years or so.

If you haven't had any kind of medical checkup for a while it wouldn't do any harm to take a blood test.
