Phil Cornwell used to be involved in a Spurs podcast, it contained some of his best work (Roman Pavlyuchenko as a Geordie, Bruce Forsyth calling everyone cunts).

  • Every street should have a Mrs Huggett. I liked the wierd Geordie speaking handyman character.

  • I've been on dozens of first aid courses where you have to deal with somebody pretending to be an unconscious casualty. The first thing that always comes into my head is Phil Cornwell as David Bowie saying "Someone call an am-bu-laance." :)

  • It's a classic Stella Street.   "Roger Moore comes in for Brylcreem, and he likes a pilchard"

Lol, just spent half an hour going through Stella Street on YouTube.

Didn't find the David Bowie bit I was after, but the way he re-tells this joke at the end reminds me of a mate in school.  He'd tell the joke so it wasn't the thing he heard ten seconds earlier. :-)

Massive fan. I like the Bowie stand up episode very much - when John Thaw keeps telling everyone to "Shat aap!". I also love Michael Caine's attempt to direct "Get Chisolm".

I still use Jack Nicholson's "See you on the other side, you god damn cracker ass!".

  • My favourite episode was when Al Pacino was going to enter his tomatoes in the local fruit and veg prize show.

Marlon Brando scoffed the lot but they stopped off for some last minute replacements at Betterbuys in Boston Manor.
