Hard case for awkward shaped guitar....

I have an Epiphone Futura Prophecy which I need a case for. Doesn't have to be fitted so a universal one should do it. Trouble is, it's an awkward shape....even more so than an Explorer.

I've tried a couple of universal guitar cases and there's a few inches overhang so I guess my questions is will a universal bass guitar case work?

I have the opportunity to buy one but I'm stuck at work till tomorrow so can't take measurements to be sure.

Anyone managed to get a Futura or Explorer in a universal bass case? Does it rattle about much?

    Quick bit of research suggests the Futura fits in the Epiphone Explorer case.

    The case, or the guitar..? :)
     so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.
