Compact Loop Switchers

Once I've got my overdrives sorted (HAHAHA) i'm in the money for a little loop switcher just to deal with them. I wouldn't need one except the Carpe Diem really is unmanageable in a live situation; the switches are just too close to the knobs.

Anyhoo, this one from TheGigRig looks to be what I want as the flip/flop feature is ideal: http://www.thegigrig.com/quartermaster-qmx2-c2x18284411 however like all GigRig stuff it's a million pounds.

So before I start looking to get one of those in earnest, does anyone recommend any other switchers? OneControl seem to be the main opposition here but they don't seem to have a flip/flop function.

For cheap and decent, Bright Onion.
He'll wire it as a flip.

I'm looking at loop switchers again - I suspect love looked at the one control iguana as the alternative to the QM, but the Chameleon is only 33x6cm and is programmable or the music lab efx 62m is also programmable and only 31x8cm.  

There is probably a joyo/harley benton as well but when I had the bigger model it felt a bit clunky -  I would be very interested to know how the one control and musicom lab units feel -  soft switching?  fast response?

Wee Lush FX is another option who seems to get overlooked. I've had a couple of custom made things from them and found them easy to deal with.

I sing the virtues of disaster area loopers / switchers. You can't go wrong for the price and quality and ease of use

i love the gigrig g2 but way too much for me as id never use half of it. DA units are scalable too

@digitalkettle Appreciate that - but no offence intended, that is just a ridiculous price for a utility unit. And I know that's not your fault - you're pricing based on what the GigRig charge for a new unit. Which is also silly money.

I'd rather struggle with my current setup and buy another pedal that makes noise for £80. Am I being unrealistic here?

No worries...I can't find what it cost me new!

I do note that you have a Carpe Diem (as do I)...so money does like to jump out of you pocket from time to time

Haha, yeah it does. Although I was *extremely* lucky - snagged it for £150 off eBay! How do you like it?

It's noisy in 'hot rod' mode...I thought it was fun...liked the high/low blend. I haven't integrated it yet as the TPS sale came up not long after I'd started using a few Thorpys.

Well, not so much unrealistic, but it seems like you're dismissing usability as something not worth paying for.

It's a bit like how I was back in the day re expensive power supplies - I'd be shocked that anyone would spend good pedal money on some fancy schmancy power arrangement - years later I saw the value in knowing that I was never going to have issues.

Ditto now, having bought a G2, it's because I now see the value in the flexibility it brings. I'd rather spend money making a moderate number of things super-effective than just buy more noisemakers
