I was trying to establish where might be a location that most members could get to in a reasonable time, I know lots of us travel to the Bham guitar show, but I did have this zany idea of a sort of Fretboard fest, essentially to bring some bits of gear to show off, or for other members to see and try in a more user friendly environment than a shop.

As an example, I use a Kemper and I guess other do too, but some people might just want to try it for a bit , ask a few questions etc and not feel under pressure to buy  !...conversely Im sure someone will have a Helix or something, which I would like to see and try in action ?

Same goes for types of amps, pedals, guitars, bass...whatever.

Just wondering.

Currently in Pembs, a good 4 hours away if you stop for breakfast on the way.

If i'm driving a hire car,..............yeah ok, about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic and which bit of Brum you mean.

It's about 95 miles i think.

Why? What's happening in Birmingham?

Nothing yet.....!.....read back in the thread you will get the idea.

i have access to a venue not far bham, nearer Walsall actually, it's an old social club now used for the local kids football, but is a good size, has parking and a bar ! No doubt my mate who runs it could lay on some food as well.

so in the ideal world we all rock up with a few bits of kit and just check it all out, have a go, maybe a jam, there's a small PA , mainly a social event .
