Back playing guitar and bass

A lot conspired against my efforts to play guitar and bass this year. Hospital stays, extensive medication and constant fatigue from the tablets etc. Now just restarted playing and my fingers hurt. They are weak too, small string bends are hard as the string bites into the soft flesh. Looping around a few chords and the Gmin scale. I know the fingers will toughen up but it seems a slow process...

Stick at it. It can take far too long for calluses to form after an extended break. Nothing else but buckle up and enjoy the ride!
