Heads up on a new book about the SAS out tomorrow. SAS: Rogue Heroes The Authorized Wartime History. The SAS opened up their secret archives to tell the story of really went on in WW2 - and some history will have to be rewritten. It can now be revealed that the SAS became the first Allied forces to enter the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. The archive reveals the horror of the soldiers at what they witnessed, including German guards casually shooting prisoners in their presence.
They were also ingenious - the leader David Stirling had dinner with Churchill and some generals in Cairo and asked them for their autographs getting them to sign a bit of paper. He then added a letter to the top (so it looked like they'd all signed it) and was able to get whatever kit he wanted.
A review I read says its a cracking read if you're into history
