Anniversary present - what do you think?

I get that to an extent but you could say that about Xmas and birthdays, it's nice to get treated to things you might not necessarily buy for yourself, saying that I never want anything physical bought for me-I prefer a holiday/hotel etc.

We say it about our anniversary, birthdays, Xmas, Valentine's - the lot. It works for us but I understand why others might want to mark these occasions with gifts.
