and TBH it's been a while since I last saw a live band.


very punchy sound from a small looking PA speaker. only two speakers of around 24 inches ,on stands of course


i was surprised tae see the kick drum put through the Pa too...never got tae see make or anything


are small compact PAs that small and POWERFUL these days

    I'd expect a lot of sound from a 24 inch speaker! Pretty bass heavy lol

    cabinets were around 20/24" ....not sure of size of actual speaker

    There's quite a few small packages with ridiculous SPL for their size now. Still no substitute for a larger speaker and box for very low end though. I used 2 X Bose L2 systems for the annual shadowmania fest on Friday but used 4 Bose subs and an additional Bose amp and extra large sub.

    The last wedding band I saw were pretty quiet for a 5 piece.  The drummer was using rods.  Though I saw someone with an SPL meter so possibly it was down to the venue and not the band.  Is that becoming more common?
