It's pretty stunning visually if you give it a chance, v spacey. Might work with old style bridge with the Ash tray cover.
If you go for that fur/chrome look...

  • As in not a three saddle presumably.

The cow hide looks really well done; what happens around the edge of the body ?

  • You should get some metal binding around the outside.

so does the bridge sit on top of the cowhide and screw through or is there a cutout in the hide ?

Looks amazing by the way ?

Kudos to the cow, it spent a lifetime spacing that pattern just perfectly. Great job!

The bridge doesn´t sit on the cowhide. It is on the wood.

One of my pet hates - Fender Telecaster Squire. It's a Squire Telecaster.

I'm waiting for the tonewoods people to come in and explain the acoustic properties of dead bovine skin. Is it a smoky sound? Perhaps a bit of a greasy sound?

Although, as far as I can see, nobody said that ? All weird stuff on TheFB today - ghost phrases, Emp Fab trying to be reasonable, @JookyChap turning out to be a venture capitalist...

The sound is exactly the same as before, no difference.

nah its fine, as long as he glued it on with Hide glue to ensure the guitar always stays resonant :)
