Line 6 Ux2 as a main sound car for home jamming

So, Ive been using the Ux2 for ages with Pod Farms but I wanted to try out some other software. When I tried Guitar Rig 5 demo, its laggy and despite changing settings, its still laggy. Tried the same with Bias amp and thats the same. 

Is it the sound card or is there a problem cross talking with these other softwares?

I have an old GuitarPort which is similar to a UX2 but much older. It works fine with other software. Make sure you have the latest Line 6 drivers and ensure that you have the Lin 6 selected as the soundcard in the respective software using the ASIO Line 6 driver.
