Waylon, as in Waylon Jennings.  Americans beat up hands down when it comes to exotic derivatives of Wayne.

Or maybe just look up the top ten all time Nascar stars and choose one.  All these modern British trendy names are rubbish.

Richard, Dale, Jeff, David, Jimmie, Cale, Bobby, Darrell, Tony or Junior.

All good wholesome southern names apart from the guy was was named after a vegetable.
The best name of that type has to be Jim Bob Cooter (a coach for the Detroit Lions).

    Congratulations!

John - that's a good solid name. I wanted to call ours John, but we had two girls. Not quite as good for a girl.

Good name Ezra.  Unusual, hard to abbreviate beyond Ez, might be tough to live with,  Better than my recent great nephew who has been lumbered with Orin...........

  • Is Kai so made-up? My cousin calls my dad Kai, for some obscure reason no doubt as his name is David. He was Bully as a boy, they all had nicknames except the eldest. My only advice when naming any child is to put the full name on the certificate, they can then choose their own abbreviation when yours turns out to be utterly shit. :)

Which will come in handy when he gets the mandatory, foŕce fed gender education in 4 years time and is offered a sex change on the nhs for free because he comes home indoctrinated and full of anxiety.  Congratulations I feel bad for the world of bullshit he's going to grow up in though, hope he can make it a simple one.
