What's Hot
Something I'd need to travel to see and with wee lad autistic that can be difficult. So trying to gether as much info as I can to help decide if worth looking at. Thought mahogany at first but is a lot lighter looking in later photos than first few.

Any idea what wood this is?

thanks loads

This is just for grain over back as you can see from other photos it really doesn't look anywhere near as dark/red as this

The last darker pic kinda bit redder than I'd have thought but closer pics that show wood lighter don't look much like sapele to me but then I am far from an expert on matter so not a Scooby.

I doubt if it is any of the South American Mahoganies as the growth lines are too far apart, I would think it's West African Khaya.  The photos below are some guitars I'm making at the moment, you can see the growth lines  on these bodies are very similar to your guitar. I use Khaya for most of my Mahogany builds now,  I also believe this is the wood  Gibson are now are using for their bodies. Nearly all the Khaya  that I purchased is quartersawn or very nearly quartersawen. It is lighter in colour and weight then South American  mahogany.

The neck blank is South American Mahogany.
