He was on Radio 4's 'Museum of Curiosity' recently.  Came across as a fairly affable chap.

Still very surreal nonetheless.

i'm not a big Slipknot fan by any means but i do think Corey Taylor is the perfect hard rock/metal front man.
He has a fantastic gravelly soulful clean singing voice, tons of power, great stage presence and he can scream like a motherf*cker.

I'm not a big fan of QI but Corey Taylor is a character. 

That said, I worry that it could be one of those awkward moments on TV where an American appears on a British TV show and there's a sense of humour clash...

Like Slash on Never Mind The Buzzcocks years ago. Even though I know Slash is British born...

Genuinely never heard of him. Never seen the prog properly either, but was waiting for Newsnight last night and there was a very fit looking Irish brunette with a cute bob haircut.

That's a curious lineup change on Mark E Smith's part.

He wrote a column for either metal hammer or rock sound which was eloquent in the sort of pretentious way that I can see fitting quite well with the rest of the cast on QI.
