    That is quite big although Tegenaria parietina in the UK gets to around 14 or 15cm leg span.   I love spiders too, but prefer the little money spiders or big cardinals.  I'd rather have Huntsmen about than red backs or funnel webs.

    In the UK I hate those vibrating spiders which breed prolifically all year round with millions of babies and the false widows, they don't belong here either, none of them are native and they all need to be tortured and then burned alive with fire.  These spiders do bring out my fascist side.

  • i'm too much of a fanny to live in Australia, at least that thing is so big you'd see it coming, it's the little funnel web bastards that hide in your clothes that freak me out. (and the snakes, crocs, sharks and roided up aggro Roos)
