15 mile range.  Give it a few years, and they'll double that.  I fly hangliders. They come in different sizes for different weights. I wonder if these will have a weight limit?

It looks fake to me, when he first comes across the lake there's no disturbance of the water until he's hovering.

It isn't fake.  It's real.  The air takes a second to hit the water from that height and cause enough disturbance to be visible.
Besides, you can clearly see the heat of the multiple turbines kicking out the thrust.

Why would it be fake ?  Surely it would be easier to build one than fake all that !  It's not magic FFS, it's half a dozen small turbines stuck on a heavy-duty drone chassis.
