1994 Jimmy Moon Strat Style
I had this guitar built for me by Jimmy Moon in 1994 and for many years it was my only electric.
I used on on cruises, tours, panto, loads of demo sessions for people that never made it...
It hasn't seen much action since I started gigging again and although it is very significant to me I think it should perhaps go to where it gets used more.
It was designed around the look of Steve Lukathers' Valley Arts.
Body - slightly smaller than Strat standard with the top horn slightly longer (Moons suggestion for balance)
Top is a highly figured quilted maple
Maple neck
Ebony fingerboard
Gold hardware
Sperzel locking heads
Wilkinson Trem
Cherry sunburst
SKB flight case - a real survivor!
Pick ups - currently 2x Schecter single coils from the 1980's plus a Bare Knuckle Crawler humbucker. Originally it had EMG's which I can put back in in preferred.
There is a small repair on the top by the jack socket where a stray drill came through when we were drilling a hole through for an earth wire - repair was Pro done.
Recent refret.
Lots of wear and chips most of which I repaired with nail varnish as band leaders weren't keen on the "Relic look"
I hope this all helps but message any questions or ask for pictures.
I would recommend trying before making and decisions.
