"coffee table" books

I've just looked at my favourite photographic book of all time, the art of adventure by Bruce Percy, and it is so beautiful I wish we had a coffee table and space to leave it out all the time. 

Anyone else have favourite coffee table books?

Lost London - a book of photographs of London from 1870-1945, mostly of bits that don't exist any more.

It's sole fault is in not being big enough (it's more than 350 pages!).

A wonderful book.

This first monograph devoted to the work of John Sexton reveals the stunning beauty of the "quiet light" of dawn and dusk. Carrying on the best of the classical landscape tradition, Sexton is known internationally as both a fine photographer/printmaker and an important workshop instructor. Early in his career he was an assistant to Ansel Adams. A distinctive body of work, delicate in beauty, and exquisitely printed by Gardner Lithograph.

Oh my. 

Bones alert! 

Odd, I love landscape and, especially , minimalism, but I'm crap at doing it -both finding the image and processing it. I'm great with other stuff, but truly beautiful landscapes evade me. 

I must find some of these books, chaps.

Check out the website for Linde Waidhoffer ~ envisioned of stunning images, and a friend of mine, we spent some time in the 11th and 12th regions of southern Chile a few years back, where she and her husband have a lodge on the southern bank of Lago Chelenko (Lake General Carrera) (first image is a view from her lodge ~ wow!!!).  I have several of her books too, she also does eBooks of her work

I usually go with photography books but I've been blown away by the detail and realism of Wyeth's work.

I have an original limited edition hardback copy of the Steve Howe Guitar Collection signed by the man himself. Steve Howe had a serious problem with GAS. Beautiful photographs with pages that fold out and the story behind each guitar.

I have the two heavyweight Fender books on guitars and amps and some wonderful art books full of old masters and modern art.

When I was hospitalised a few years ago, my boss's boss (a great woman and I was always in her good books) gave me a lovely present. Her partner runs a book shop and she gave me a copy of the auction catalogue from when all of Les Paul's gear was sold off. It's a super book full of great pictures of all his guitars and stuff.
