Logic/MAC problems

Ok - apologies if this is a stupid question.

Much to my distress my MacBook pro has been consigned to the scrap heap...... the kid split juice on it and it cant be saved.

I am going to need a new laptop/MAC/IMAC.

My questions are -

Will I be able to use the audio interface I used with the now defunct MAC with its replacement even though I registered it with the old MAC?
Will I be able to use same control surface?
Will I have to buy Logic Pro X again or will the license transfer over to my new MAC/IMAC....

Thanks in advance for any help......

Usually you will have an account with Apple that gives you access to the downloads.
Apple don't really care how many licenses you install on your own computers- I have one copy of Logic installed on 4 machines.

What interface- if it is compatible with the new machine then you should just be able to use it.
If it is too old then you won't.

Thanks octatonic - sounds like it shouldn't be an issue then. The audio interface will be ok I think. Its pretty new, a focusrite scarlet 2i2.

  • You'll be fine using that interface on a different computer
