When they do the sequenced obits on telly on new year's eve this year, they're going to have to make it an extended edition. 2016 is one year I will never forget, but one I dearly wish I could.

Don't wish your life's away , it may have been a bad year (and for me to, too many decent celeb deaths, split from missus moved to a pooh flat , and currently have a broken arm and jaw from a cycling accident) but we're still here with roofs over our heads enough cash to eat food and live a western life style , theirs plenty to be grateful for

Agreed, it's all about perspective. For our household 2016 was a spectacular year, probably if not our best.

I'd bet people die all the time, but because of when the people we think of as famous were most famous, they're now old... when we were young our parents probably thought the same things about their idols

2016 for me has been all about acceptance of myself and situation. 2017 will be building on that. It has been a poo year, but for me 2014 was probably worse, although I did go on 4 dates

When I was seeking out musicians and songwriters in the mid to late 80s as part of growing up and having some sort of musical "taste", I went back to the late 60s, so I guess it makes sense that these musicians are dying now. It's still a bit poo though.
