SOLD: Jerry Jones Short-Horn, Single-Cutaway, , US-Made, Boutique Danelectro-style guitar.

edited December 2016 in Guitars £

This guitar is an outstanding instrument, a boutique build which is much superior to the mass produced Danelectro re-issue.

It has a few small nicks on the back but is essentially new, having only been taken out of its case a handful of times since it was imported from Nashville about 5 years ago (what looks like chips are just light reflections on the gloss finish).

These guitars are increasingly rare and the last one to sell on eBAY's US site sold for £1150.

Blurb:
"Founded in Nashville in 1981, Jerry Jones custom guitars are respected the world-over. Jerry retired in 2011 and is no longer producing guitars in the United States.  This single cutaway model is based on the original Danelectro Double Pickup models made in the late '50s to mid '60s.

A vintage-inspired instrument with modern refinements, it combines traditional retro-styling with Jerry's high quality build and components, including:

- Jerry Jones own lipstick-tube pickups with master volume & tone controls;
- heavy duty 3-way bat-handle toggle switch (the middle position engages pickups in series);
- classic 'Coke bottle' headstock with vintage-style Gotoh tuners;
- extremely resonant semi-hollow body (just like the vintage Danos) finished in gloss black with white vinyl along the sides;
- an original hardshell case."

Looking £775 PPG (includes UK shipping)
