Power supply question

  • Just done some more Googling and I think the Strymon Ojai would fit the bill and be cheaper to boot than all the Gigrig bits
Bear in mind the Ojai requires an external power pack
T-rex Goliath also an option. Works for me.
which external power pack do I need for it?
It comes with the power pack. Essentially  is a wall wart powered box.
    aren't they all!?
Sort of, but the Ojai just looks clunky for being 2 seperate items as opposed to one. Make sense as the Ojai can be powered from the Zuma too, but personally I like the all in one solutions like Fuel tank and Cioks etc.

  • Seriously, look at the Cioks Powerfactor 2
nah it's about £100 more than the Strymon and about twice the size. I just don't need it for powering 4/5 digital pedals
    Is the Strymon £75?

    Nope M5 is 9VDC 500mA
M5 doesn't actually draw 500mA.  Before I sold mine I ran it fine off one of the 400mA outputs on a Hot Stone Deluxe.  From what I remember reading online it will happily run off of less than that.
I have a Mooer rechargeable power pack with 2A output and my M5 just will not have it. I'm running a Boss TU2, an Akai Headrush (~100ma drain), a Double Muff and a Rat clone, both of which consume next to nothing, but the M5 still won't work if there's anything else sharing its power supply.
