I had thought that any non-wing collar was an Oxford collar?

Are you getting it confused with the Oxford Comma?

An Oxford collar is a very wide cutaway collar.

I'm at the opposite end of the scale - it's often quite difficult to find things in size S.
    Do you mean condoms?
No, but you can have a LOL anyway.
Shame. I was going to offer to sell you mine....
Hmm.  What's the "best before" date?
    December 2009....
Pah! I agree with Jacob Rees Mogg, who said that the only vintage johnnies worth having are double breasted, XXXS ones that are as thick as a garden hose.

Surprisingly enough, I got a body warmer in a fishing tackle shop just before Christmas.  It has the FIELDPRO label and is double XL but it is a 'large fitting' double XL.  It fits!   Job done.

    That doesn't sound terribly surprising.

You would imagine that most places should order a "normal distribution" of sizes, allowing for their target demographic of course.

Went into the local DIY store, looking for a bodywarmer.  They have an extensive work clothes section and lots of bodywarmers.  Only problem is the largest is XXL which is one X too few.  I have broad shoulders and need the width.  My brother has the same problem, we must have been front rows in a previous life.

Do shops not realize that there are a few XXXLs out there?
    Don't Dunnes stores sell them?
I remember their stuff was always  one or two sizes larger than the label implied

@ToneControl I didn't think of looking in Dunnes. I tried all the usual places - workwear shops, sports outlets, safety gear shops, motor Factors etc.

Clothes are a pain for me.

Im just under 6ft but around 200lbs, clinically they say I'm 'bordering obese' but to look at me you'd say I'm normal for my build. Bit of a gut and man tits though.

Usually with shirts xl's fit me, however most fashion seems to be aimed at these blokes who are women. So even some xl clothing is too tight.

Of course xxl hangs off me like a dress.

Jeans.. don't even get me started!
36 waist usually, but my ass struggles to stay in em so I often look like a gangsta or a penguin. Too small to pull up to correct height because my junk would no longer function.

38 waist, fit 'properly' at the waist but the legs look way too baggy or become so long I'd wear holes in the bottoms in no time. So again, I look like shit.

Nowadays I'f I find something that fits AND looks good, I'll buy 4 of the exact same thing there and then. If they come in different colours then I'm winning!

  • Apparently according to the news today 80% of men between the ages of 40 - 60 are seriously overweight.  So as that is the general age group of this forum there is one  serious amount of excess blubber represented here.  fretboard t shirts would need to be 80% XXL and upwards
.  Maybe we should get the fretboard sponsored by Jacamo
