Opinions on this Clarke Kanee Reverb?

For sale near me. Never heard of them previously, seems good having had a scout around. Does anyone have experience of these? Does this seem like a reasonable price?

As far as I know, they have a really good reputation for tweeds across the pond. If you're after a Princeton Reverb, I'd have no hesitation buying it, if you can get it for what you want to pay.

I've had a beaufort special for a number of years - great amp closer to an origional deluxe than the new custom shop tweed deluxe - period correct cloth wiring etc.He goes the extra mile in authenticity. Check out his website in the US for prices - they are in the Victoria range but probably slightly better priced than the current popular choice for expensive deluxe style amps in the UK. Could not get the link t0 work so not sure on price.

I bought it! Sounds really fantastic and mint condition. £895. New one would be £1775 + shipping so I thought it was do-able. Shop guarantee for 3 months and the amp is 10 yr guarantee from Clarke (although it would have to be shipped back to usa... and i'm not sure how old it is tbh) It's got exactly the sound I was after. Strat into a fender clean at home level. Very happy!

would you chaps recommend getting it looked over by a tech to check everything is ok, or is it a 'if it's sounds good leave it' scenario?

Do you have a specific concern? If it will give you peace of mind, get it looked over. After all, valve amps do contain lethal voltages etc. I wouldn't bother personally, if I had a gut feel that it's been looked after well. but I'm no amp tech and maybe I'm wreckless!
