I had to do the same task on my old EBMM Petrucci after a fucking silly cockwomble who was playing my guitar knocked into another guitarist on stage.
but it does look like you have a small amount of torn wood fibre that may not recover fully. steam it to get your self 95% there but if it needs more i would sand the neck a bit to get some rosewood dust, mix it with a small amount of epoxy and put a drop of it on the remaining damage. once that is sanded back you wont see it
you may even get away with just filling it with dark wax
