I'm after an old school white Macbook or a Macbook Pro. Something pre-2008. 

Cosmetic condition relatively unimportant as long as the battery holds some charge and it works.

    Might be able to help you out here. I've got a 2008 White unit, with a new battery and recently fitted SSD. It's my really old backup machine but Ive just replaced it so might sell it... how much you offering?

    My budget is probably up to around £60 for a MacBook and a bit more for a pro. Ive got a spare SSD so would be happy to have something without a hard drive.
