Blackstar Fly 3 amp PSU

Hi chaps, I've jut picked up one of these great little amps from crayola_ferrari (a seamless transaction!) and will be buying a PSU for it.

However, the Blackstar version seems a bit steep at around £13 - is there a cheaper, decent alternative available on eBay/Amazon etc?

The spec detail for the PSU according to the back of the amp is DC 6.5V and 1.5A.

Well, be careful. I am on record in a few places so probably here as saying I think many manfctrs are too "precious" about their power supplies. Basically, I believe a decently designed bit of kit SHOULD work on any supply that can supply the required volts and amps (which BTW the linked one cannot!) ....But.

One of my jobs was the testing of boxes of supplies from various sources to ensure they met speccs such as V&I delivery at ALL world mains voltages and that they did not chuck out abnormal amounts of RF crap. A few would fail such tests and some got a bit hot!

I don't think 13 quid is a such a rip for a guaranteed part?

Cheers for the advice chaps, you're probably right Dave (as always) - I'll sort out getting the official Blackstar PSU!
