Saint Blues Bluesmaster

edited December 2016 in Guitars £
Saint Blues Bluesmaster. In mint condition. Suit anyone who loves Teles but fancies a bit of a change. Both pickups are coil tapped, which makes it really versatile. Feel of neck is very much vintage fender. Pictures make it look much more orange than it is....colour is more honey, & scratchplate is cream. Heres a link to photobucket & demo on youtube.
£299 with free postage.

Re trades, I'm selling all my stuff 'cos I've had a bad accident to my hand & just can't handle a 25 1/2 scale anymore.

  • Lovely looking guitar. It would have to be one in, one out for me though, and my guitar at the moment is, er, a Tele.

  • When you say both pickups are coil tapped - does that mean they are stacked humbuckers? Cheers.

  • To be honest, I've never actually lifted the scratchplate to have a look at them, but I'm assuming they are stacked. According to the official st blues blurb, the coiltap reduces volume by about 25%. CTS pots apparently. I remember doing an A/B with an american standard tele, and couldn't tell the difference. Its certainly not like one of those horrible stacked humbuckers that takes away all the character. Just sounds like a normal tele untapped.

  • Looks to me like tapped single coils. So wound to say 6k, tapped, and then wound to 9k and tapped again. Actually very useful, and better sounding than tapped hums in my opinion.
