It was my daughters 18th last night and we had booked a venue for the party..

All was going well until 4 guys turned up with bottles looking to cause trouble..
All of. Sudden  I get this rush and boom I had one of them pinned to the ground whilst the police came.
Now the last time I was in a fight was when I was nine. 37 years ago. So I am not the aggressive type at all.
What got me afterwards was the ease in which I managed to tackle him.
Adrenaline is an amazing thing.

Usually people are annoyed when you turn up to a party without bringing a bottle.

When I say bottles empty one brandished as weapons.
Unfortunatly one poor kid who was invited did get hit and ended up in hospital.

You're a survivor. You don't know what you're capable of until something happens. 

The other thing is you were protecting your family which brings out the warrior in a bloke.

As men we are hard wired to protect our offspring/families, you can educate and teach social etiqute all you like but nature can and will interveen. Judges have the ability to take this into account should the need ever arise.

When the police turned up I gave them a full account of what happened with full account of my intervention. They where totally cool with it.
Fortunatly one guy was arrested and the other three were known to the kids at the party. My fear now is that there might be some payback against my daughter.

I can understand that fear but I suspect it far more likely they will giver her a wide berth!
