Is anyone on here using one, I'm tempted to try one but it's a bit pricey at £280.

  • I sent mine back to Andertons today. It's great, sounds brutal and is one of the best distortion pedals I've heard and experienced (it's got a punch and bottom end to it); but ultimately, I was looking for something a bit smoother and less gritty than the Diezel sound. The Andertons video captures the sound I was hearing perfectly, and if that's your thing - awesome, I really enjoyed it and it was fun, but it didn't suit the style and tone I have been chasing in my head. Lead sounds are incredible though.

DEFINITELY worth trying...yes, even at that price!

What I'm looking for is something to give me essentially a third channel on my Runt for a bit more on the extreme styles of metal.

I always think Diezels sound great. I gig an Einstein 50w combo regularly.

But they seem to have slowed a bit and aren't as hyped as they once were.

I'd still have a VH4 though. Modern classic. Quite possibly so with the Herbert also.

Dunno why the Einstein was discontinued TBH. It sounds epic for just about anything. My combo emits more low end thump than it has any right to.
And the head I had was also a monster.

    Very flexible amp.

I dont think Diezel make a bad product so I should imagine the VH4 pedal sounds great too.

The andertons demo wasn't great, I'm usually a fan of their demos but that one was bad, chappers is a rock guitarist he's not so great at the metal.

  • @timmysoft I agree, was an awful video. But I found it to be a good representation of the sound I got out of the pedal. But again, that's likely because Im more of a rock guitarist than a metal guitarist.
