and the boys got me a Kindle [which is just awesome.. just downloaded a book of short stories in Spanish which I'm hoping will help me with my grammar]

And from No. 2 daughter, a Malt Whisky Appreciation Set, consisting of a tasting glass, Jura Origin 10yo, Speyburn 10yo, and 4 granite whisky stones (you put them in the freezer, then they cool your whisky without diluting it - neat!).

I've heard of that magazine. It is indeed good.

I got a fish eye lens and a street tough case for my phone, lots of chocolates, a bottle of Kraken, a wolley hat, a wolley hooded jumper with more to come when we get back to the uk.

My parents got me a sat-nav - very useful, will save me a lot of time and hassle getting to gigs, for example.

Also got about a hundred quid's worth of Amazon tokens from relatives, which I will probably use to buy myself a TV, and a nice bit of cash too. Other stuff including some car magazines, lots of chocolate, a couple of CDs and a really lovely new navy blue cashmere jumper, since my other one has a hole in it.

And coolest of all, a total surprise - which there will shortly be a separate thread about.

I got totally spoilt , Got some Shure SE215's , Beatles Yellow Submarine Lego , Rolling Stones "blue and lonesome" box set and  "Havana moon" Blu-ray , Beatles "8 days a week" blu-ray .. and a NIkon P900 camera as well as loads of the usual smellies/socks/cash/booze .
