My only gigworthy amp now. I've sold the rest (including more expensive gear) and kept the Blues Cube Artist. The price is good for the sound, feel and weight.

Very interesting review although they did seem very keen to say how much they "genuinely" liked the amp which seemed a little odd to me. I am band-less at the moment and intend to focus on my acoustic playing for a while but I am keen to check these out at some point as a replacement for a couple of heavy and functional but not brilliant valve amps I have. A bit pricey but not your typical SS combo are they.

Some good sounds coming from the Blues Cube in that video. I do wish it was a little less talking I feel though. Would have been good to hear it in a band situation for a demo too. I haven't seen a demo doing that yet. Actually that Broadcast pedals sounded pretty good too

I must be one of the relatively small number of people who didn't really bond with their Blues Cube (albeit a Stage not an Artist). It sounded pretty good, but not WOW, and there was a lack of depth and character to the sound you get with a valve amp. I think I almost preferred my Tech 21 Trademark 60 (with a speaker swap).

You're not the only one @simonk as I feel exactly the same as you do. I tried the Stage along side a Fender Blues Pro. I must admit I still thought the Pro was a better sounding amp but in a band context I doubt you could tell the difference sound wise. It was a feel thing if you know what I mean?

For me, a SS modelled amp is rarely gonna feel or sound like a valve amp... but at £699 new, my Artist stood head to head with a £2400 Rambler and Lazy J...
