I saw prince and GNR vinyls in hmv... They look well cool.

Meddle is by The Floyd.  Side one is a single track lasting about 30 minutes.

Permanent waves is indeed Rush.  I may have Purple Rain on vinyl.  I shall play it in your honour if so.  GnR I only have on cd, so later perhaps.

Can't find prince but found Touch by the Eurythmics.  It must be three years since I put a record on.  Magnum or Def Leppard next.

Had a vinyl day yesterday too (kinda had to, seeing as how our CD player is borked). My stepson is staying over with us and is getting into vinyl in a huge way. We bought him some new stuff for Xmas. It was actually quite weird playing his brand new copy of Electric Ladyland. ... no crackles or surface noises at all. My original copy is really worn and I've got used to all the glitches. I was expecting to hear them, it's quite odd without them tbh. 

Anyway, we had a good evening. And listening to vinyl is nice.

On a storyteller's night.  The cover art is better than the album content, but the eponymous track is quite good.

To be fair, an infinite track time is unlikely, but my copy of Penthouse And Pavement has music on the very last bit of the groove, and just goes round and round until the needle wears the groove down. Literally, "for a very long time, for a very long time, for a very long time, for a very long time....".

I noticed TIGER now do vinyl, less "popular" than the stuff in Sainsburys.
