Scary TV show from 1980/81?

When I was a kid I remember watching an episode of a TV show, or it might have been a one of programme, I don't think it was a movie, but it was really scary at the time and I really want to know what it was.
I didn't see all of it as it was on late but here's what I remember:
It seemed to be set on the English coast, maybe Cornwall. There were scenes filmed in point of view looking through the eyes of a creature attacking sheep at night on a farm, and looking through a farmhouse window at the people inside.
The only other thing I remember is that a craft or ship, maybe alien was found on the beach and it was foggy. It was really creepy!
Anyone recall or have any ideas on what this may have been?
