Ms Hopkins appears to be incredibly clever. She knows exactly what to say to provoke a response by both traditional and social media. Hence gets more airtime and in the end money.

I'm not entirely sure she agrees with everything she blurts out and only says these things to get the reaction she requires.

(that's not me condoning her comments, just an observation)

Similar have been doing it for donkeys years.
every phone in radio show that charges you money to phone in and text in has followed the same technique  - say something outrageous and then get paid when "outraged of cobham" phones or texts you to tell you how outraged they are 

she is just a professional troll and too many people fall for it

Sure it's an act. No-one could actually be that much of a douchebag. Credit to her for keeping it up though, I wouldn't want to do it however much money I was earning.
