To be ultra-picky, I always found the panel angle on those Laneys too severe, if the amp was raised up or tilted back. The Valvestates a bit less so, but as already said the perfect angle is the closer-to-vertical of the Fender BF/SF and Mesa Mark Series amps - the Fenders (actually the Brownface series) were the first to have it as far as I know - and like many things, Leo Fender got it dead right first go, but others have been trying to make it worse ever since...
