I Was setting up my rig to do some David Gilmour licks for a lesson and all was fine when played with a Tele, but when swapped over to a Strat sounded thin. So swapped out the Big Muff clone pedal for a straight TS clone and the sound was instantly Kenny Wayne Shepherd. So I riffed and wrote TWO KWS inspired songs in under an hour and the lesson evolved onto just that!
The Student is a massive KWS fan and when I played them he wanted to know which songs?? I explained all and hopefully will be a good example of letting your ears guide you...
Gilmour - Tele => Univibe setting in BOSS ME-5 => Kokko Booster => Analogue Echo => Fender Super Reverb
KWS - revised as - Strat =>Kokko Overdrive => Aria Phaser=> Snakbite Reverb=> Session Rockette drive channel
Simple as but both bloody effective.
Big smiles all round.
