This LP Buttoned up, or naked?

What's Hot
had a chance to de-badge my Halcyon and at the same time I thought I'd see what it looks like without a PG. I'm on the fence, what do you guys think?

Either way, I love it, such a nice guitar.

    Simple aesthetic principles for me:

    Pickguard always on with 'bursts

Pickguard off with Customs or other solid colours if pickups are open coil without covers, on if they have covers

    So...on in this case

    This.

Remember - every Les Paul ever made weighs less without a pickguard.

I think that if you were on the fence, you've got bloody long arms to have been able to take that picture.

FWIW, always on for me. However, it's not like it's some irreversible, or time-consuming, modification to add/remove the thing so just go with how you feel each day?

^^This - All day, everyday! Looks so much classier.
All the right notes, not always in the right order!

Always off for me.  It always puzzles me why Gibson fit a scratchplate on their Les Pauls and what function does it achieve when it is fitted.

    Lovely guitar BTW.

Or, rather; Off > Get a tortoiseshell one > On
Not much of the gear, even less idea.

It looks equally as nice on or off to me.

Why not leave it on, and take it off sometimes!

I do find them marginally more comfortable to play with them on, but I've now broken my third one in four years so maybe I'll have to give up the fight.

They actually only weigh just over an ounce, sadly :).

You're meant to use a Telecaster for fighting, it's in the rules.

Always on. Anyone who likes PGs off a LP are plain wrong, and should be arrested and deported.   :)
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)
