Room with a Brew on the way up Derby Road, the Sir John Borlase Warren at the top, the Falcon next door, and the Organ Grinder (Blue Monkey pub)just 50m down Alfreton Road. Follow it with a brilliant kebab at Tipoo further down on the right, proper sit down job and posh for a kebab joint.
There are loads of poncey craftbeer places charging an arm and a leg for just 2/3 of a pint of gassy too cold 'so called' craft beer. This grumpy old git usually avoids them
If you are into real ale you owe it to yourself to visit the King William IV in Sneinton. Owned by the guy who started the real ale scene in Nottingham nearly 20 years ago.
Got bored of the hotel menu after a few nights so I did take a quick drive out to Kimberley to get a Hot Shot pizza from Mansouri's which was rather tasty.
