Laptop advice

Hi guys. 
I'm looking for advice on choosing a laptop for doing music stuff on. I'm normally running reaper and reason, with a few vsts such as ez drummer. Nothing outrageous. I can imagine running something like the helix native vst in due course. 


Looking for a windows-based machine. 
I'm currently using a pc but it is massive and fairly old and I've got a new job so moving again soon - I'd rather not have to cart it around, and it struggles with certain vsts.

I don't play games, the only things I would use it for are word processing and excel. A large screen would be good as it doesn't have to be especially mobile. 

I don't want to spend any more than I need to, but I'd like to get something that will see me through the next ten years. 

I have literally no idea how powerful modern Laptops are compared to my humble needs - would welcome your advice and recommendations. 

Also any suggestions about which retail outlets to buy from greatly appreciated. This is an area in which I have literally no knowledge!
