    The thing about all these IR's is, in the real world you just have one or 2 cabs at a gig. So even if you have a device that gives you 5 IRs it's a fair few more than IRL. I see their main benefit for session players or studios. 

    For live they can be useful to artists replicating sounds used on their albums, especially when a lot of gear has been used.
    I don't think may of these amazing gadgets are for many people other than semi or pro guitarists/musos. Which makes me wonder how many they sell. People recording at home can just use digital IRs they can download.

    The only thing I see that can be useful for a pub gig guy is using something like this on a pedalboard to negate the need for an amp/cab

    It's the in thing for 2017 isn't it? There's this, the Digitech one and ,err, another new one that I can't think of.
