Stranger things is quite big just now.. and it has kids in it.. might be that.

Surprisingly, more often than not we did! We got quite good at looking at their rental history & working out likely candidates.

I didn't like the jim Carrey film but the series is superb. My kids binge watched it and loved it. I was only in and out so saw some of it and loved the look/style, I'm definitely going to watch it all. Other series that everyone should watch: stranger things and dirk gently, both were brilliant as far as I'm concerned.

Seen the first three episodes so far. Much better than the film although not 100% as per the books ( my eldest son loved the Series books growing up). It's a bit slow maybe but very quirky and dark which is what it should be.

Managed to make up to about 20mins into the absolute pile of steaming shit that is 'An Unfortunate....' I don't get it, the actors are either terrible, or so good that they have transcended good and are able to appear terrible whilst actually being good, either way they appear terrible.

Heh. One of my proudest moments as a Christmas temp in a record shop was the time a French guy came in and asked for "zat Doobie Brozzers song zat goes "cha-chang chang...cha-chang chang"" (makes guitar strumming gestures).

Did less well with the frazzled acid casualty bloke who wanted The Castle of a Thousand Universes by Dream Machine. Honestly, I thought the voices in his head had probably told him to ask for it. Turns out it really does exist.

It's very stylised but that seems true to the books, they aren't naturalistic or set in any specific time or place.
