The originals change hands for mental amounts of money, anything up to and even over $1k.

Just wondered what any of the pickup afficiandos think about them (for period accurate jazz tones or anything else for that matter)
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

    Probably not quite the answer you're looking for, but ages ago a shop I worked in had an old Guild Artist Award with one of these… I used to wind up the (jazz loving) shop owner by playing Eddie Cochran songs with it when I was testing amps, for which it sounded fantastic - really woody and punchy. One of the best authentic rock'n'roll tones I've ever heard.
