to celebrate the unified force of living things i would like to outline something very important in an age of spider hate and repression.
spiders just want love just like any other weird life form. weeks ago i saw a dead spider in my tub and i felt something special.
this is something often overlooked... perhaps too often
yes, even the most dangerous or ugly looking spiders just want love. they were born terrifying, and they have to be terrifying for the rest of their lives, warranting a deathly cycle of spider self-hate and depression due to their ultimate lack of connection and love so they continue to murder and terrify others because what else can they do?
please keep your spider-hating beliefs far away from this thread. what do YOU love about spiders?

i like the webs they spend their time making, sometimes they resemble fractal geometry and have very beautiful architectural properties. also ever notice that spiders spend a lot of time not moving? they are pioneers of meditation and enlightenment. spiders don't need phones or music.

Jumping spiders like these:

Absolutely gorgeous things, even though they have too many legs & eyes.
Some spiders eat other spiders. Keeps the numbers down!
The black & white ones common here in the UK are cute too (they look really funny when you go right up to one and it raises itself up on its back legs and raises its fists at you):

wow so beautiful well done spider bro
Amen to that. I lived in Sydney as a kid and remember my Mum trying to kill a funnel web with furniture polish. They never scared me then, but back in Blighty, I can't stand the buggers. I do try not to hate them though, and at least put them outside rather than just swat them with a newspaper.

I've totally draft excluded the place now, down to the micrometre and all I see now are money spiders and the occasional gurt hunting Cardinal spider. I've also committed mass Phocidae genocide and it's like a 1980's utopian natural order has been restored.
Those Cellar spiders, or Daddy Long Legs or Phocidae genus for want of a better term are not Daddy Long Legs, Daddy Long Legs are Craneflies or Harvestman Spiders. Cellar Spiders come from the Tropics and never, ever stop breeding their 1000 strong tiny sporn and they make a hell of a mess as well. They don't even look like a proper spider.
I don't crush spiders but if I see one of those Phocidae it's smashed. Being burnt alive is too good a fate for them.
Them female false widow makes are pretty scary as well, but only because of their armour, they are also foreign I gather.
Does spider hate and extreme spider racism exist?
Pass the WD40 and I'II show you it's real.
The most "interesting" of which were Sandy horned baboon spiders- big: about as big as the palm of my hand- not that I could handle them as they're very fast and REALLY aggressive.
They'd often attack the feeding forceps as I dropped in a cricket. One of them once got my finger as I cleaned the tank out- it felt like having a red hot drawing pin driven into my hand combined with about 10 bee stings. The H&S report and subsequent inspection were also "interesting".
