I can't do the youtube link at work but looking forward to this later as I am a big Les Dawson fan.

If Metallica want to do new things why don't they do it as individuals? They are big enough and famous enough and rich enough to do that. Then get back together to play the hits. Wrecking the good will by carrying on regardless? have they not heard of Queen?

I manage fine to love old Metallica, without letting new Metallica affect me in an way whatsoever. The fact they've released some new shit albums, played with Lou Reed, gigged in Antartica etc doesn't effect the 'Puppets or Justice albums in my CD rack.

People that don't like S&M are wrong though, it's great.

This is why I loved them.

Always amazed how quickly Lars's hair fell out, or how time passed. In less than ten years he went completely bald.

Like any teen stars, maybe they just peaked too early.

How the fuck does James sing that and play that at the same time?

Actually I find playing and singing at the same time easy. It's when I'm not singing it goes wrong!

    I have no idea why.

And I can only do it on guitar. I can't sing and play bass at the same time. I must listen to different things.

Sambostar, watching the For whome the bells toll video actually gave me goosebumps.

Makes you wonder how they would have progressed as a band had Cliff survived the accident.

    Sad loss.

Lang Lang is an excellent pianist though, saw him a few years back at the Royal Albert Hall.

can't believe how much stick he gets.
