Not as good as the first. Main story not quite there, lots of reminiscence.. but still great. 8/10 compared to full marks for the original.

Thanks for no spoilers (so far). I read the book and saw the play well before the first movie came out. I've read Porno and I was just going to give T2 a miss until video release. Perhaps I should take the punt.

It's amazing. Spud had me tearing up in almost every scene. 
It doesn't have the energy or edge of Trainspotting but that's the whole point - it's 20 years on and their lives have changed. I totally got it in 96 but I'm not the same person I was then and this film hit home too.
It needs the first film for reference but having a different feel/pace works in its favour.
Can't wait to see it again.

I suspect a fair few of us did. I almost fell of my chair and choked on my Belgian chocolate mouse when I read "Anyone seen it?". But then it all made sense.
