Amp search goes on , tried a Jvm and recto today

Today I tried a Marshall Jvm and a Mesa rectifier 50.

i though the Marshall didn't capture anything I like about marshalls , and was pretty flat , lifeless and boring .

I thought the Mesa was great . I could've played it all day . I found the recto not as raw and raunchy as I'd have liked , but it was fun to play , sounded great , and seemed great quality with good chunky pots and switches .
my favourite sounds were the pushed setting on the clean channel , and the gain somewhere above half on the drive channel . everything cirrus said really !

if the stiletto is similar but more British sounding then I definitely need to check one out .

and also a 5150

You need to try a proper recto, the 50w is nowhere near as good as the 100 or 150!
