Aside from Guitars (Bass Included) What is?

What's Hot
Your next Favourite Instrument? Even if you don't/can't play it, is it down to the sound it makes or the looks of it or image it's associated with?

Mine is the Saxophone, such a divine sounding instrument and beautifully graceful in it's appearance. I also like that you get to wear a Suit and a Hat if you play one in a Band.

What's yours?

That is all!

  • I like the Pedal Steel, I find it hard enough to play slide without 10 strings and loads of pedals and knee levers, but the sounds you get are amazing.

Does that mean laid out flat after a good kicking from 10 pissed up punters :)

Seriously though, I always thought "Drive in Saturday" had a Kazoo part in there, mixed in with the strings, you know the bit I mean, it makes the song if it is one.

    Mouth organ!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Mine's the harmonica, I can play it a bit but not very well. It's quite difficult.

Piano - a bit like the guitar - it amazes me how some players can make it look so easy to play and get such a great sound from it

Is it a Pedal Steel that Gilmour uses on Great Gig in the Sky @olafgarten or some other stringed horizontal thingy?

If so, that sells one to me.

Yeah it's basically a Slide guitar with Volume pedals and pedals that bend the strings to different pitches.

Does watching a virtuoso female playing the pink oboe count?

Gets a bit weird live though...

I like drums probably, then piano.

Out of what i can't play (that's a fairly loose definition of "play", to be clear), I really like the saxophone and violin. Oboe in the right place is really good, too.

Piano, drums, saxophone, in that order.

One day I'd love to be able to play all of them.
